Quick Facts:
- The Yarmouth Hospital Charitable Foundation was established in 1970. During the early years the Foundation played a custodial role for memorial bequests. The Foundation took a more pro-active role in the 90’s when it spearheaded the hospital expansion campaign.
- A Foundation office was established upon the completion of the hospital expansion in 2000 and the first managing director was hired in 2002.
- Currently, twenty two individuals from all three counties serve on the YHF Board. Three board members are by appointment (Argyle, Clare, and the Town of Yarmouth) the remainder are volunteers.
- Since 1970 the Foundation has raised over $16,500,000.00 in support of the Yarmouth Regional Hospital. This figure includes $10,000,000 raised for hospital expansion. For a detailed list of purchases go to Donor Dollars at Work
- The Foundation’s annual appeal takes place in late October.
- The Yarmouth Hospital Foundation hosts two signature events each year:
- YHF Spring Gala presented by Rodd Hotels & Resorts.
- Jody Shelley’s Golf Fore Health. Tri-Star Industries is the presenting sponsor.
